This particular Pagoda demonstrates what a factory original W113 undercarriage looks like!  It has only been cleaned.

Original Daimler-Benz undercoating of this era is a rough texture and beige in color. If you encounter a black undercarriage it has been resprayed for some reason.

The wheel wells you see above are all factory original, having only been cleaned! Yes, the factory painted Pagoda wheel houses the color of the exterior body.

In the photo just below, the black item is a correct Pagoda ‘rocker cover’. From the factory they are always satin black, dull black or dark gray, have an irregular surface (due to the “chip guard”) and are secured with Phillips head screws.

Undercarriage:
Original Mercedes undercoating on Pagodas is beige in color. The photos below are from an original car.
