This lovely and highly authentic example will make a great holiday gift for yourself or the one you love! The upholstery is 95% original and in great condition, (rare on a 55-year-old!). Our San Diego client purchased it eight years ago in California and brought it straight to us and spent about $11,000 doing all the usual things then hardly drove it. Approximately 2000 miles ago these services included: complete cooling system including a new water pump, an oil service, and power steering pump re-seal.
New items included the turn signal switch, electronic ignition, and new shift bushings. Approximately 2500 miles ago the fuel tank was renewed along with the associated filters & hoses. Includes a state-of-the-art vintage-look modern Becker stereo which sounds phenomenal and looks stock and correct. She also recently renewed the soft top.
There is something about this car that intrinsically turns heads and lights up smiles when you’re on the road. It has an enchanting effect when people see on the road, and more often than usual, our media team noticed smiles and thumbs up when they had it out for shoots. Interior – as a testament to low miles and great care, much of the upholstery is original. Significant, since the early Pagodas had upholstery distinct from the later variants. The seat upholstery, door panels and dash covering are essentially original.
Trunk – Due to condensation held in place by the factory rubber mat, many Pagodas (even dry California cars) have suffered trunk floor rust (most notable in the left rear corner). This one is wonderfully solid and original.
Engine
Undercarriage – As found with original factory undercoating!
Details – Nice gaps, factory locking chrome gas cap, optional transverse seat, matching numbers
